Artist Statement
I love all areas of art, doing everything from portraits, figurative work, collage, monoprints, pastels, plein air painting, and Abstracts! It is great when things cross over from the abstract universe to the real world, a wonderful synthesis. Above all I am colorist and I believe in strong drawing skills at the basis of all my work. I draw inspiration from my surroundings, from memories, from color I see in small moments of life, light and nature. I often work in series, exploring an idea. I try to do 100 drawings as often as possible for a platform for generating new directions. Each canvas is a new uncharted adventure.
