San Juan Island
Musicians and Bands
Call us...360-378-5720 for info

The local music scene has had many great bands over the years. Who can forget the Chevys or the Down Home Band of years gone by. Bands like The Fabulous Rhythmatics, who are still pounding it out. Kanaka Joe the original punkers, Rockfish who are still rocking Friday Harbor, Hunk a Funk, The Snags, Stockrocker, the Relics, Full Circle, SunDog, Uncle Otto, DirtMonkeys, No Exit, Solar Siblings, Sugar on the Floor, Jesus Chords, Atlantics, Silvertones, Santos de Lopez, Cheap Friends and more. Its an ever evolving state of musicians and gatherings with many great players, many who seem to show up in multiple bands. They come and they go. This island, that island. People come to these islands to live and work and play and we're very lucky to have such a great selection of musical talent. Not only are there Rockers, Blues guys, Bluegrassers, Celtic, Old Tymey players and Jazzers but a few greats drop in too! Steve Miller (yes the original joker) a legendary guitarist/songwriter has dropped into the world reknown Bella Luna Social Club on Blues Nite!, world renown violinist, Andor Toth who is one of the classical worlds heavyweights and , hey even Queensriche recorded an album here!... This Site is intended to introduce you to the players/bands and what they're about. Let me know what you think about islandsmusic.com. We accept good (and not so good) feedback, and encourage you to help us with developing this site... If you have a band or are a musician...or know some of the past groups from and around the San Juan Islands...yes our Canadian Friends too, drop us a note, we'd really like hearing from you, and we'll hook you up!...Keep on Picking
